Stanley Compact Spinnerbaits

What makes the 3/8 oz. Stanley Compact Spinnerbait a great lure is its smaller frame, smaller blades and smaller hook.

“When you’re faced with a tough bite, especially after a cold front and a high pressure, a smaller bait presentation is key to catching more fish”, says Lonnie Stanley, a five time Bass Master Classic qualifier and legendary lure designer. “Bass have a tendency to draw tight into structure after a cold front hits. I designed my compact spinnerbait with a smaller hook on our original vibri-shaft head, allowing you to fish in deeper cover with less hang-ups”.

Whether its springtime bass in grass, laydowns or rocks in shallow water or the summer and fall when lake levels drop and bass push into stained water creeks or under boat docks, the Stanley Compact Spinnerbait is proven to be the ideal lure.

The Stanley Compact Spinnerbait smaller frame and blades make it easier to present to bass with longer distance casting. Furthermore, anglers can fish this spinnerbait without tiring out as fast.  “When casting, especially in the wind, the smaller more compact spinnerbait goes farther with fewer backlashes” says Stanley. “Because they cast farther and look more like shad, they make excellent choices to throw in places where bass might school”.

The Compact comes with a ball bearing swivel, silicone skirt, and Mustad hook and is available in eight proven fish catching colors. One size, the 3/8 oz Small Fry Spinnerbait has a single willow blade. Big things do come in small packages. It’s great for Smallmouth, Kentucky and Black Bass

Stanley Bugeye football jig

Bass are defenseless against this lure For over 27 years, legendary lure maker, Lonnie Stanley has been known for his innovative jig
designs for bass fishing. He has now taken it one step further with the introduction of the new Stanley Bugeye Football Jig featuring the new Flash Skirts. With its football shaped head, fiber weed guard and uniquely placed eyes, anglers have the versatility of
fishing shallow or deep, in heavy cover or open water.

The Stanley Bugeye Football Jig is a do it all lure”, says Lonnie Stanley, a five time Bass Master Classic qualifier and legendary lure designer. “I have the ability to fish the shallow heavy cover and then move out to the ledges too deep for crankbaits without having to change lures”.

The Stanley Bugeye Football Jig is designed to travel along hard bottom areas, rocks, gravel, and over ledges without getting hung-up. With its football shaped head, the jig will fall and roll into an upright position, representing a defensive crawdad.

“Work a 1/2 oz Stanley Bugeye Football Jig on ledges that are 12-15’ on top and let them fall off the edges”, says Stanley. “I get most of my bites as the jig is falling off the edge of the drops. Often so hard, they would knock slack in my line”.

Producing fish year around with the Stanley Bugeye Football Jig will be no problem for anglers. From a hopping fast fall to a slow bottom drag, anglers are able to present this jig a variety of ways appropriate for all seasons.  The Stanley Bugeye Football Jig is offered in 3/8 oz, 1/2 oz and 3/4 oz sizes featuring the new Flash Skirts in 10 proven colors.

Stanley Swim Jig

It shakes, rattles and rolls, but more importantly, it catches fish from top to bottom.  With decades of jig designing experience in his wake, legendary lure maker and Lonnie Stanley did it again.  He turned an ordinary swimming jig into extraordinarily versatile bait that duplicates the enticing action of a crankbait, the vibration of a spinnerbait and the weedless penetration of a jig.

The New Stanley Swimming Jig is a jig with spinnerbait vibration and crankbait versatility; a bait for all depths. You can run it two inches below the surface or along the bottom in deep water by varying the speed of retrieve or the angle of the rod.

Equipped with a weed guard and a rattle, the new Stanley Swimming Jig incorporates a front shaker (or chatter) blade.  With the blade in front, it somewhat resembles an in-line spinner, but the blade doesn’t revolve around a central wire.  Instead, the flat blade, more like a crankbait lip, creates wobbling that looks like “a whole lot of shaking going on.”

“If someone held a rod high and ran a 3/8 oz jig medium fast, it would run about three inches below the surface,” Stanley explained.  “Lowering the rod or slowing the retrieve makes it run deeper.  If the angler stops reeling, the bait will sink to the bottom.  Dropping the rod tip, a person could run it at a slow to medium speed just off the bottom.”

Protected by the weed guard, the new Stanley Swimming Jig can go where few spinnerbaits or crankbaits can venture, into the lair of the beast.  Anglers can run these baits through lily pad patches or fallen trees.  They can work them through sunken brush piles where lunkers lurk.  It runs through branches of fallen trees or around stumps and rocks, anywhere.  Drop it next to stumps and let it fall to the bottom.

Work it in many different ways, it runs through the lily pads, clicking back and forth.  When the blade contacts vegetation, it quits moving.  As soon as it leaves the grass, the jig starts moving again.  When the bait runs across deep holes in vegetation, an angler can drop it to the bottom or vertically jig it next to standing timber or drop-off edges to find bass in deep holes.

The new Stanley Swimming Jig comes in three sizes, 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 ounce.  It also comes in 10 proven fish-catching colors with either nickel or gold blades.  If people wish, they can change trailers to make infinite color combinations.

Specifics Include:

Nickel or Gold Blades

Silicone Skirts

Weed guard

Comes in 10 colors

Stanley Hot Feet Ribbits

“Hot Feet” Ribbit is a 4” soft plastic frog with uniquely colored feet. The feet create realistic "kicking" action with an added “flash” that looks, feels, and sounds like a live frog jumping across the water. Rigged with a 3/0 to 5/0 wide gap hook inserted into the body, the Stanley “Hot Feet” Ribbit cuts across the thickest grass where the biggest bass hunt.

The “Hot Feet” Ribbit has proven to be successful in saltwater fishing for redfish and trout. Rigged weedless, the Ribbit can out perform a gold spoon or topwater in the shallowest conditions. Sand pockets are well known strike zones for saltwater fish. Anglers can fish shallow grass flats with deep sand pockets, letting it slowly sink into the sand pocket.

Stanley “Hot Feet” Ribbits come in six proven colors including solid white with chartreuse feet, black with white feet, watermelon seed with red flakes and chartreuse feet, watermelon seed with red flakes, a pearl belly and chartreuse feet, fire tiger with orange feet, watermelon seed with red and green flakes with blood red feet.

Stanley Hooks

The new Wedge V Lock hook and Wedgehead V Lock jighead system can go into places where anglers previously wouldn’t think of throwing a lure. Both systems use the same wedge-shaped coil spring that locks any plastic bait tight to the hook eye. The tornado v shaped spring makes it easier to line up a soft plastic bait and we built it with strong stainless wire.

A tapered Wedge V Lock spring self-centers when lining up on any bait one wants to use with it. With the spring locked into the plastic, it can’t pull out of  baits easily. The tighter one screws it in, the tighter the plastic stays on the hook.

Anglers can catch several fish on one bait without knocking the plastic off the jighead. The spring increases in width as it spirals upward from the point of insertion into the plastic to the hook eye, making a snug fit. Perfect for the Ribbits!

Weighted versions come two to a pack. Unweighted versions come three to a pack. Stanley also offers the system with either red or natural finish hooks.
