Daisy Outdoor Products, America’s oldest and largest marketer of airguns and airgun accessories is celebrating its 122nd anniversary in 2008. The company traces its roots to the Plymouth Iron Windmill Company of Plymouth, Michigan. The first steel airgun was given as a premium item to farmers who bought the steel windmills. Within a matter of years, demand for the windmills was fading but the little airgun was a success. In describing the airgun, then company president E.C. Hough said, “It’s a Daisy”. That became the name of the gun - and the name of the company – and the rest is history.
