Quantum Boca PTs PowerLite Saltwater Rods Sets the mark high performance and satisfaction PowerLite, the name of a new Boca PTs rod series is about as self-explanatory as you can get. Or we can say it another way: These new Quantum rods featuring a revolutionary new six layer wrapping process are the strongest, lightest rods in the brand’s saltwater lineup.
The innovative six layer wrapping process reduces the overall blank diameter while also providing remarkable lifting power. The end result is an offshore rod series that comes in conventional, spinning and stand up models, with all versions backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
But quality doesn’t stop with the blank. There are genuine Fuji DPS reel seats on conventional and spinning models, and aluminum PacBay reel seats on the stand up versions. Rod guides are heavy-duty, deep-pressed PacBay guides. The PowerLite lineup includes four 5'9 stand up models, four 7' conventional models and four 7' spinning models. All have fast tapers. Handle styles vary according to the type and grips are comfortable EVA.
There is also a California series in the PowerLite offering. It consists of four 5'9 stand up rods, four 7' conventional models and four 8' jig sticks. Tapers are fast. Guides are turbo on the stand ups and heavy-duty stainless steel on the conventional and jig sticks. Grips are Hypalon on all but the jig sticks, which have cork rubber tape.
All PowerLite rods feature durable air-dried FlexCoat epoxy finishes, and have an aluminum gimble with cap. Boca PTs has become a respected brand in the saltwater market in short order. The new PowerLite series gives the brand, and saltwater anglers everywhere, even more reason to be proud.

The Quantum Burst Baitcaster is an aluminum frame model with Quantum’s exclusive ACS II feature for external adjustable centrifugal brake control. Burst features a composite frame and a DynaMag magnetic cast control. A quality baitcast reel, Burst has a place in the hands of today’s anglers.
Burst is a good choice for those who like tighter control of their budget and spool speed. The reel’s composite frame and six ball-bearings allow the thriftier price of the two new models. Its magnetic cast control keeps backlashes to a minimum during use with a wide range of baits and in most fishing conditions.
But value-priced in Burst’s case certainly doesn’t mean a sacrifice in features and performance. The reel sports a MaxCast skeletal spool, titanium-coated line guide and Continuous Anti-Reverse. It is amazingly lightweight at 7.84 ounces, and comes in two models.
The BU670CX has a blistering 7.0:1 high-speed gear ratio that gobbles 29 inches of line per turn of the handle. The BU660CX has a 6.2:1 retrieve to take in 26" of line per turn. Burst looks sizzling hot in its bright, distinctive finish.

Back with new look, reduced weight It’s back, the Quantum Energy series of rods, but with a new look, reduced weight and a limited lifetime warranty. Included in the lineup are some two-piece models in good all-purpose lengths and actions, which can sometimes be hard to find in rods of this high quality.
Energy PT rods feature HSX54 million modulus graphite blanks with Fuji ECS and IPS reel seats, and Fuji Hardloy Concept Guide spacing. Split-grip cork handles reduce weight and provide a unique look and user comfort. There are 14 casting models in the line, ranging from 6' to 7' in length and coming in actions from medium-light to heavy.
The seven spinning versions are available in a wide range of lengths between 6'6 and 7'4, with actions from medium to medium-heavy. There are seven styles of handles among the lineup, matching the right type to specific uses. Especially good news for mobile anglers who like to travel with a full-length but two-piece rod handy is that there are four casting and two spinning models available in breakdown versions of 6'6" and 7' rods. All other models are one piece.
Energy PT rods are indeed Performance Tuned to take on anything that swims in freshwater. You can’t go wrong with Energy PT, backed by their Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Built with purpose Quantum’s new saltwater Kayak rods serve as proof that the company listens to what anglers are asking for and not just slapping a name on a product that might work for a particular type of fishing.
Quantum Kayak rods are 7'6 in length, one-piece and feature quality IM7 graphite blanks for the perfect blend of strength and sensitivity. Handles are extra long at 17" for a good fit in rod tubes and for added fish-fighting leverage at water level. Fore and rear grips are tear-resistant Hypalon for comfort and control. The rod’s overall length and design enable anglers to reach around the kayak and paddles.
Of course, rod components are genuine Fuji. Reel seats are DPS on spinning models and TCS on casting. Line guides are durable Hardloy frames for smooth line handling and strength. There are six models in the Kayak rod line: three each casting and spinning. All have fast tapers and come in medium, medium-heavy and heavy actions.
