The Michiana Steelheaders is an angler association dedicated to enhancing and protecting Indiana's fishery , and to introduce and educate new anglers to fishing opportunities.

The Association, puts on several fishing derbies including the Annual "Special Athletes Fishing Outing", Boy Scout Fishing Outing, Powder Puff Derby, as well as several St. Joseph River Salmon tournaments.

Steelheaders actively participate in successful net pen projects and stocking efforts.
